Glossary

AU: Acronym of alternate universe. A universe where certain canon events, or the entire settings, are changed (i.e. what if X character was a girl/boy instead?). Not an excuse to be OOC.
DR: Abbreviation of dressing room. Either the game Shin Megami Tensei Dressing Room itself, the community the game resides in, or, sometimes, the virtual world where the game takes place.
IC: Abbreviation of in character. A character behaving according to canon.
LJ: Abbreviation of Livejournal, sometimes written eljay (often derisive). Journaling service used by the Shin Megami Tensei Dressing Room. Can also designate a pup or mun's account.
Locked (to): Only the characters the post or thread is locked to can see or hear the events and conversation in said post/thread. Outside interaction is forbidden.
Mun: Short for mundane. The person behind the character; the puppeteer to the puppet.
OOC: Abbreviation of out of character. A character not behaving according to canon. Seen as very bad form, and annoying. Can also indicate a note written by the mun while using their character's journal.
Pup: Short for puppet. The character being played.
RP: Abbreviation of roleplay.
Tag: A response posted in a thread by a character.
Thread: A series of interactions between two or more characters.
