About

Shin Megami Tensei Dressing Room

A dressing room, in roleplaying, is a form of "freestyle roleplaying": there is no central plot, no central character, and often, when the first characters arrive, not much of a world at all beside the floor they step on! The Shin Megami Tensei Dressing Room, therefore, is a freestyle roleplaying game where people play characters from the Atlus® videogame series Shin Megami Tensei or one of its numerous spin-offs. Anything can happen! And since this is the Shin Megami Tensei universe, we have religious wars leading the earth to ruin several times over, pollution turning humans into cannibalistic monster, practionners of ancient esoteric arts able to make demons do their biddings, humans turned generals of Hell's armies, demons, gods and beings from nearly all the human mythologies. When we say anything, we mean it.

This site

This site, Apocalypse Postponed, is meant to be a list of useful information and tools about both the series and the roleplaying game on LiveJournal for the players of the roleplay and for potential players and lurkers as well. The name of the site is meant to represent how, for a character thrown into the DR, the (usually imminent) destruction of their home world is put on hold.

The Cast List was a list of which characters had been played by which journals, if only for one comment; the Dorms Room List is a way for Shura and other players to keep track of who is in which room of the Hisao Dormitories; the Birthdays List is a list of the canonical birthdays of characters as given by Atlus®; the Glossary lists useful roleplaying terms and their meaning; the Tools lists useful tools to making playing easier and/or faster.

This site is part of Paper Scraps and Nyx's Lounge.

Layout

The layout of this fanlisting is an adaptation of the Livejournal layout template Clean Blue by Emily on Refuted. I've decided to use it as a site layout because it was the second layout of the Shin Megami Tensei Dressing Room community and I needed more menu space.

The site also uses icons from the Silk set by FamFamFam and from Minimalistica by Dry Icons.
